General Information
More than two decades after its
construction, Amoreiras Shopping Center won, definitively, a
place as an icon of Lisbon.
Placed in the center of the Portuguese capital, within a
housing and office complex and a very bold architecture for
it´s time, it early became a meeting point for upper middle
class and upper class, always demandind quality and
attentive to the last fashion trends. The effect upon
Lisbon´s economic, social and cultural life was only
comparable to the development of the oriental part of the
town, many years after. Today, it entered to the gallery of
Lisbon traditions, without loosing the aura of vanguard,
that was always around it.
