Mundicenter S.G.P.S., SA, is a holding
company particularly engaged in the management of companies
operating fundamentally in property development business - the
design, construction, ownership, commercial operation and management
of property undertakings involving setting up shopping malls, retail
parks, leisure parks and car parks.
History
It was set up in 1983 as
Mundicenter-Sociedade Imobiliária, SA, and later became
the head of a group of important, well-known companies.
During 1985 it opened the Amoreiras Shopping Center,
Portugal's first major shopping mall. The operating
activity of the Mundicenter Group is mainly centred on
the running of its seven shopping malls: Amoreiras,
Spacio Shopping,
Oeiras Parque,
Braga Parque,
Odivelas Parque, Campus S.
João and Arena Shopping.
Mundicenter now owns and
managers about 138,200 square metres of gross
leasable area (GLA):
